ScanText (scantext.net) provides a free image-to-text OCR service. We minimize data collection.

When OCR runs in your browser, images are not uploaded to our servers for that step.

If you use Higher quality mode, images are sent to our OCR API, processed, and deleted within approximately 60 seconds.

We may use privacy-friendly analytics (page views, performance) without selling personal data.

We use a locale cookie to remember your language preference. You can clear cookies in your browser.
